Mounties in North Vancouver say a man has been arrested and charged in connection to a string of alleged assaults on Christmas Day.
The North Vancouver RCMP says the first incident happened on Dec. 25 along Bewicke Avenue, just north of Mosquito Creek, at around 3:15 p.m.
Police allege the man assaulted a woman after she confronted him about damaging a parked car.

About half an hour later, the same man allegedly punched another woman from behind and then assaulted her son at the Shipyards Christmas Market, police say.
Both times he left the scene before officers got there, the RCMP adds.
Just days later, police say the man then allegedly started a fire at the front door of a unit within an apartment building on Dec. 29, along East Keith Road.
“The fire was extinguished by fire crews before it caused major damage, but several people were displaced as a result,” Mounties said in a release on Monday.
The suspect was then arrested by police along Lonsdale Avenue. At the time of the arrest, police say the suspect was in breach of a release order stemming from an incident in 2023.
The BC Prosecution Service has since approved multiple charges of assault, mischief, and arson against a Vancouver resident. The suspect remains in custody awaiting his court appearance on Jan. 16.
“Although charges have been approved, we are still looking for more evidence,” said Const. Mansoor Sahak. “In particular, investigators are looking for witnesses and dash cam of the second assault that is alleged to have occurred on Christmas Day at the Shipyards Christmas Market at around 3:45 p.m.”
