A 3.8 magnitude quake struck about 17 kilometres southeast of Victoria just before 10 p.m. Thursday.
Earthquake Canada says the shake was “lightly felt in Victoria, Sidney and across southern Vancouver Island.”
One caller to 1130 NewsRadio says she felt the impact in the Lower Mainland.
“I thought a truck sort of hit something. And then I went turn on the lights on and I thought ‘something,’ but no, I felt it in Langley,” she said.
Earthquake Canada says there were no reports of damage and none are expected.
