Just two days after the last incident, another overpass was hit by a truck on Friday.
The BC Highway Patrol says it, along with the Commercial Vehicle Safety Enforcement Team (CVSE), is investigating after a truck struck the Rice Mill Road overpass as it was heading south along Highway 99 toward the George Massey Tunnel.

“The truck may have stopped initially, but departed prior to police arrival,” highway patrol told 1130 NewsRadio. “CVSE has its licence plate, and will follow up.”
Police say its initial assessment of the overpass is that it doesn’t seem damaged.
Friday’s strike is the eighth of the year. On March 19, the Blundell Road overpass, also in Richmond, was hit by a truck carrying a prefabricated house.
BCHP and the B.C. Ministry of Transportation have yet to confirm the strike.
