Surrey police say three people are in custody and a man is in hospital after a stabbing in the Newton neighbourhood Wednesday evening.
Fire crews, paramedics, and the Surrey Police Service (SPS) were called to 128 Street near 72 Avenue around 6:30 p.m., where they found a man suffering from a stab wound.

“The male was treated by Surrey Fire Service and BCEHS and was subsequently transported to a local area hospital in serious but stable condition,” the SPS said.
Police say three suspects were arrested, and the Frontline Investigative Support Team (FLIST) has taken over the investigation.
The SPS says it does not believe the incident was “random in nature,” and there are no outstanding suspects.
The suspects were reportedly still being held by police as of Wednesday evening.
