    The Vancouver Police Department says a man was fatally stabbed on Sunday in the city’s Downtown Eastside neighbourhood.

    The VPD says officers were called to the area of Dunlevy Avenue and East Pender Street, east of Main Street, around 3:15 p.m. after receiving reports of a man who was “seriously injured.”

    “Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, the man later died in hospital,” Sgt. Steve Addison said in a release on Tuesday.

    Addison says no arrests have been made.

    Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to call the VPD’s Homicide Unit at 604-717-2500.
