Delta teen taken to hospital after hit and run, police investigating

The Delta Police Department is urging the driver of a vehicle that struck a pedestrian on Tuesday and then left the scene to come forward.
Police say that a teen boy was crossing 112 Street at Bridlington Drive, in front of Burnsview Secondary School, just before 3 p.m. when he was hit by a black vehicle heading south.

“The black vehicle failed to stop and continued driving southbound on 112th Street. The Delta Police is appealing to the driver of the vehicle to come forward and speak with investigators about the incident,” the DPD said in a statement on Thursday.
Police are also asking that anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who has CCTV or dashcam footage of the area, to contact police at 604-946-4411.
