Metro Vancouver: Rainfall warning for Tuesday evening

Environment Canada issued a rainfall warning for parts of the Lower Mainland.

Vancouver, Burnaby, and New Westminster can expect heavy rain starting Tuesday evening.

Those areas can expect up to 25 mm over a short amount of time.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads, says Environment Canada. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

Environment Canada also reminds drivers: if visibility drops, switch on your lights and give yourself plenty of space between vehicles.
