Get in line and get your order ready, the actor behind the famous ‘Soup Nazi’ Seinfeld character will be serving soup for charity at a New Westminster deli this weekend.
Larry Thomas, who first played the tyrannical and fastidious chef and restaurateur in 1995, has been making public and charitable appearances in costume and character for years.
Greens and Beans Deli on East Columbia Street says Thomas will serve “soup and laughs” from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 25.
A post to social media says the soups will be donated by Sysco, The Vancouver Soup Guy, and Greens and Beans Deli.
It says all proceeds from the event will go to “Lapu-Lapu relief,” supporting the victims of the Lapu-Lapu Day tragedy in Vancouver.
The vehicle-ramming attack at a Filipino street festival killed 11 people and left dozens more seriously injured.
Fundraisers for the victims and their families have continued to raise millions of dollars since the attack in late April.
