Section of Dewdney Trunk Road closed due to collision

A stretch of Dewdney Trunk Road in Maple Ridge was closed in both directions due to an early morning collision on Wednesday.
The road was closed between 230 and 232 streets for “an extended period of time,” according to Ridge Meadows RCMP.

“Please give yourself some extra time this morning, and plan an alternative route,” the RCMP said
There is no estimated time of reopening.
As well, there was a power outage in the area, BC Hydro says, which was reported shortly after the crash. It is unclear if this is related to the collision.
As of 5:20 p.m., the power is back on, the utility says.
