Richmond RCMP says ‘possible explosive devices’ recovered from apartment

The RCMP confirmed Tuesday that an undisclosed police incident near the Richmond Olympic Oval Monday involved suspected explosive devices.

When they arrived, they forced the evacuation of a residential building.
In an update Tuesday, Mounties say two men were arrested after the “possible explosives” were discovered in an apartment.
Police did not describe what exactly may have been found at this point, only that the Explosive Disposal Unit was called in.

Police will remain on scene while the investigation continues, but add there is no ongoing risk to the public
