Police are investigating after shots were fired at a business in Abbotsford overnight.
Details are limited, but the Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) has confirmed that a business on King Road near Clearbrook Road was the target of gunfire.

The incident occurred around 6:40 a.m. on Wednesday.
Police say no injuries were reported as the business was closed during those hours.

“Investigators are working closely with the business owners to determine the motive of this incident, which remains unclear,” AbbyPD spokesperson Alicia Pastro told 1130 NewsRadio.
Officers are asking the public for help. Anyone who might have witnessed any suspicious activity or has dashcam footage of the area is asked to contact the AbbyPD at 604-859-5225.
AbbyPD posts video asking to avoid speculation
Shortly after the shooting was reported, AbbyPD posted a video of Police Chief Const. Colin Watson on social media, asking residents to “avoid speculation and assumptions” as they investigate this and other cases.
Watson says in the video that police want to be transparent about their investigations into cases, but “there are times when investigative priorities require discretion.”
He says residents should also treat information distributed online as “potentially inaccurate,” unless it comes directly from police.
Among the recent targeted attacks was the shooting death of 68-year-old Darshan Sahsi in the city on Oct. 27.
Police have said Sahsi’s shooting was not tied to recent cases of violence or extortion, but do believe the attack was targeted.
In September, Abbotsford police launched a local task force targeting cases of extortion, in addition to supporting a provincial team created for the same purpose.
“Together, we are working in close collaboration, and I want to assure you that meaningful progress is being made,” Watson says.
