Surrey man charged in child pornography investigation

A Surrey man has been arrested and charged with multiple offences after a police investigation into internet child exploitation, police say.
The Surrey Police Service (SPS) it began an investigation in January 2025 to look into reports of possessing and distributing child sexual abuse and exploitation materials (CSAEM).
In June of that year, officers executed a search warrant at a home in South Surrey, where they found and seized evidence.
The 41-year old has been charged with possession of CSAEM, distribution of CSAEM, unsafe storage of a firearm, and unauthorized possession of a prohibited device.
The man appeared in court Thursday and was released with numerous court-imposed conditions. His next court appearance is scheduled for June 25.
