Suspicious death in Kelowna being investigated: RCMP

A call about “suspicious circumstances” in Kelowna on July 7 near Baillie Avenue and Ethel Street has led to the discovery of a deceased woman.
Kelowna RCMP say they attended the scene and found the dead woman in the back of a vehicle.
The circumstances of her death have been deemed to be suspicious, police say.
A man at the scene who is known to the victim has been taken into custody.
He has since been released with several reporting conditions.
The Kelowna RCMP Serious Crime Unit has taken over the investigation to figure out what led up to the woman’s death.
