Plane crash in Quebec leaves two people dead

MONTREAL (NEWS1130) – Two people have died and three have been injured after a plane crash in northern Quebec. A small Beaver aircrafter crashed in a swamp two kilometers from the La Grande Riviere airport near James Bay on Saturday.

The three people injured have been flown to a hospital in Montreal. Police and the Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.

The accident adds to the list of deadly plane crashes that have taken place in the province since May.

Just last week, a single-engine float plane crashed into a mountain near Chute-des-Passes, claiming the lives of four people.

Seven people died when Beachcraft Kingair 100 plane crashed near Quebec City in late June.
