MannKind: 2Q Earnings Snapshot

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. (AP) _ MannKind Corp. (MNKD) on Wednesday reported a loss of $10.3 million in its second quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Westlake Village, California-based company said it had a loss of 5 cents.

The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for a loss of 5 cents per share.

The biopharmaceutical company posted revenue of $15.1 million in the period, which missed Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $15.2 million.

In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, the company’s shares hit $1.86. A year ago, they were trading at $1.12.
