One person dead after fatal crash near Revelstoke

REVELSTOKE (NEWS 1130) — One person has died and four others have been taken to hospital, following a head-on crash Sunday along the Trans Canada Highway.

A pick-up heading toward Alberta, between Revelstoke and Golden, crossed the center-line around 8 a.m., slamming head-on into an oncoming motorhome.

The 48-year-old driver, who is from Saskatchewan, was killed. Two others in the truck, a woman and a child, are in hospital with serious injuries.

Two people travelling in the motorhome, including a child, have also been sent to hospital, where they are expected to survive.
