Woman’s body found in Kelowna, Serious Crime Unit investigating

KELOWNA (NEWS 1130) — A suspicious death investigation is underway after a woman’s body was found Sunday in Kelowna’s Rutland neighbourhood.
Investigators say they found the body on Highway 33 W and Nickel Road just after 7 a.m. after they received a report.
Very few details have been released into the ongoing investigation, and the woman’s identity has not been released.

Officers remained on scene throughout the day Sunday as they collected physical evidence and spoke with witnesses.
They are appealing for any witnesses who haven’t yet spoken with them to do so, as well as asking drivers to provide any dashcam video from the scene.
