Five men were sent to hospital with stab wounds after a large fight broke out Sunday night in Vancouver’s Yaletown neighbourhood.
Vancouver Police Sgt. Steve Addison says the violence erupted at 8:30 p.m. near Davie Street and Mainland Street, and involved men who “had come to Vancouver to party.”
“The five victims, all men from Surrey and Langley, suffered a variety of stab wounds, including injuries to their faces, stomachs, backs, and legs. The injuries are not life-threatening,” police said.

Addison says there may be more people hurt but many of those involved fled the area without speaking with officers.
“This level of violence in such a populated area is unsettling,” he added.
“Fortunately, our officers responded quickly and identified the people involved, and we don’t believe there is an ongoing risk to the public.”
Two men in their 30s have been identified as suspects. They are not in custody and no charges have been laid.
