Two teenagers have non-life-threatening injuries after being stabbed Tuesday at Surrey’s Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary School, according to police.

The Surrey RCMP were called to the school at 2:39 p.m.

“Two victims were located and taken to hospital in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect remained on scene and was taken into custody,” says Const. Sarbjit K. Sangha in a statement.

“Early indications are that this incident stemmed from a dispute between teens who were known to each other. The investigation is active and ongoing.”

Mounties say the force’s Youth Unit is working with the school district to support students, staff, and families.

Anyone with information is being asked to call (604) 599-0502.
