Suspect makes off with $30,000 in parts after helicopter hangar theft: Penticton RCMP

Mounties in Penticton are looking for a man who allegedly broke into a helicopter hangar Friday.
RCMP say they responded to a break and enter into a large hangar. The doors to the hangar had been pried open.
Police say CCTV cameras captured the suspected rummaging around the storage, climbing into a helicopter, and stealing several expensive pieces of equipment.
“As a result of the break-in and theft, the helicopter’s operations were impacted,” said Cst Dayne Lyons of the Penticton RCMP. “The total losses are near $30,000.”

The suspect is described as being in his mid to early 40s, having a large figure, with a goatee, facial stubble, and curly frizzy hair.
He was shirtless and wearing black shorts and a blue baseball cap at the time.
