“At this time, no charges have been laid and the suspect remains in custody,” IHIT said.
The community has experienced a significant loss, and I’ve lost a close friend. Mani was a caring individual, who had gone to extraordinary lengths to keep youth away from a life of drugs, gangs and crime. Rest In Peace my friend https://t.co/vbz9s2Tv5b

“This was an isolated incident between two neighbours,” Sgt. Timothy Pierotti of IHIT said. “Tragically this situation escalated to a point where a life was taken.”
Friends of Amar are mourning the loss and remembering his life. On Twitter, CEO of KidsPlay Youth Foundation and police officer, Kal Dosanjh says the community has experienced a “significant loss.”
“Mani was a caring individual, who had gone to extraordinary lengths to keep youth away from a life of drugs, gangs and crime. Rest In Peace my friend,” he wrote on Twitter.
