Motorcyclist dead after collision in Richmond

A motorcyclist has died after a crash involving a bus on Monday afternoon in Richmond’s Sea Island neighbourhood.

Richmond RCMP confirmed the death of the rider after being called to the incident at Russ Baker Way and Inglis Drive just before 12:30 p.m.

Mounties say despite life-saving efforts, the rider was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the bus was uninjured.

Roads in the area were closed Monday for over eight hours as investigation teams took over the scene.

Police are asking for anyone who has information or dash cam footage of the incident to contact the Richmond RCMP CCIT at 604-278-1212 and quote file #2022-26999.
