Earthquake hits off coast of Baja California, Mexico

A large earthquake has hit off the west coast of Baja California in Mexico.
The U.S. Geological Survey says preliminary readings put the earthquake at a magnitude 6.2. It hit at a depth of 10 kilometres.

Shaking has been reported as far as San Diego, California, though there’s no word at this time on damage.
No tsunami warnings have been issued.
