Home in Surrey under investigation after possible shooting: RCMP

Mounties in Surrey say they are investigating a home after a possible shooting on Wednesday night.

In an email to CityNews, the Surrey RCMP says a man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound arrived at the Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster.

An emergency response team was then deployed to a home in Surrey’s Birdland neighbourhood. Mounties say the team cleared the home of any danger, but police are unable to search the place thoroughly for now, as they’re waiting for a search warrant.

Police say they’re holding the home, and assure that there’s no risk to public safety.
