The Greater Vancouver Food Bank fundraiser is this Friday

The virtual fundraiser for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank (GVFB) is on Friday and the organization is urgently asking for donations.

The event raises funds for “accessible, healthy, and sustainable food for individuals and families.”

CityNews is a proud partner for this event.

Last year they raised $81,079, and their goal for this year is to raise at least $100,000.

The GVFB provides food to more than 130 Community Agencies to run their own food and meal programs. These are community organizations like shelters, community centres, senior programs, and after-school programs.

You can donate online through their website from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday or visit the CityNews website.
