Coquihalla Highway 5 reopens after multi-vehicle crash

A multi-vehicle crash temporarily closed the Coquihalla Highway 5 in both directions between Hope and Merritt Thursday.

The highway closed around 2:40 a.m. after the incident and reopened about 10 hours later, just after 12 p.m.

DriveBC said Highway 1 through the Fraser Canyon could be taken as an alternate route, but drivers should expect snow out of Hope and pooling water on that highway as you head north.
