“When police arrived, they located a man with a gunshot wound. The man was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries,” Corp. Mike Kalanj said on Wednesday.

“While it is still early in the investigation, it appears this incident was targeted,” said Kalanj. “If you witnessed this incident or have any information that could assist police with this investigation, please come forward and speak to our investigators.”

Mounties did not confirm whether the shooting was or was not related to the ongoing B.C. gang conflict, however, witnesses at the scene shared that members of the Gang Enforcement Unit were also at the scene.
