HWY 99 northbound offramp to Steveston HWY in Richmond reopens

A critical exit from Highway 99 northbound to the Steveston Highway in Richmond was closed Tuesday morning as crews responded to a damaged power pole.

Traffic was blocked at the intersection starting before 8 a.m. Congestion was heavy through the George Massey Tunnel, but began to ease throughout the morning.

In an update around 11:45 a.m., DriveBC says the offramp has reopened.

It says crews are still on scene, controlling the intersection with flags. Drivers can still expect delays.
