Terry Fox award to honour 2010 Olympian

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – It’s an award to honour an Olympian who touches the world with courage, humility and extraordinary athletic abilities at 2010 Winter Games.  The Vancouver 2010 Terry Fox Award will be presented during a public ceremony in downtown Vancouver on February 27th, to an Olympian, who can be from any country participating in the Games.

Terry’s brother Darrell says he would be touched by this tribute.  “Terry can not personally say thank you, so I will.  Our sincere thanks for acknowledging Terry’s athletic and humanitarian accomplishments in this way.  Your sincerity and enthusiasm for the Terry Fox award has been infectious.  Terry is in very good and capable hands.”

The award will be presented to someone who is the epitome of determination in motion, who pushes on no matter what pain or obstacles are in their path.
