TORONTO (NEWS 1130) – If you’re feeling the stress levels rise as you get back to the grind, a company in Toronto is letting you smash them back down again.
The Rage Room bills itself as “one of the most cost effective (and unique) alternatives for stress relief” with its menu of stuff to smash.
$20 gets you geared up with protective clothing and a bat, and unleashed for 30 minutes with a stack of five plates.
You can then order a la carte — plates, pictures, wine glasses, vases, chairs and a varied list of specialty items.
Do you have a despised printer at home that has caused you endless aggravation? You can smash it under the “bring your own stuff” option, though that will cost you an extra $20.
“When we are growing up, we are taught to not break stuff and not show negative emotions while we are out in public,” says Rage Room co-founder Timothy Cheung. “This goes counter to that and I love the idea of going against what we’ve been taught.”
While there are currently no plans to open a Rage Room location outside of Toronto, Cheung says they are open to the idea of partnering up with someone in Metro Vancouver.
Maybe then you could let loose after a particularly long paddle-board commute, your yoga pants tear or your barista accidentally forgets the organic hazelnut flavouring in your half-caf, almond milk, roibos latte.
