Road closures around Vancouver this Canada Day

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – With Canada Day events happening across the Lower Mainland today, there are road closures and special events everywhere you turn.
Road closures
For Canada Day at Canada Place, there are a number of road closures until 3 a.m. on Tuesday, including:
- Stanley Park Drive will be closed during fireworks and reopened once they’re done
- Stanley Park Causeway will be closed at Avison Way during the fireworks, from 9:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Canada Place from Howe St to Thurlow St
- Thurlow St from Canada Place to W Cordova St
- Burrard St from Canada Place to W Cordova St
- Howe St from Canada Place to W Cordova St
- Waterfront Rd from Main St and Alexander St
- W Cordova St from Granville St to Burrard St, southbound closure only
- W Cordova St from Richards St to Seymour St
- W Cordova St from Richards St to Burrard St, eastbound closure only
- Granville St from W Cordova St to W Hastings St
- Howe St from W Cordova St to W Hastings St
- Seymour St from W Cordova St to W Hastings St
- Burrard St from W Cordova St to W Hastings S
Expect delays across the city as drivers navigate the many closures.
Robson St is also closed for Canada Day celebrations until 6 p.m., between Burrard and Denman.
In Richmond, The Steveston Salmon Festival is causing road closures west of No 1 Rd and south of Steveston HWY until 5 p.m. Expect a ton of pedestrian traffic.
