VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — With some extra time around the house and perhaps a bold train of thought, it might seem like a good time for a trim — unless the provincial health officer can change your mind.
“My apologies to Lindsay, my hairdresser, but I did do some of my own tinkering with my hair in the last couple of days,” Dr. Bonnie Henry said. “So yes, I did not go to the hairdressers, and hopefully it will settle down soon.”
During Tuesday’s provincial update on COVID-19, Henry admitted she too couldn’t resist cutting her own hair.
“They say the number one thing not to do in a pandemic is your own hair. And I will say believe them.”
But she sure isn’t alone.
Hashtags like #coronahaircut have made the rounds Twitter, with images of home haircuts depicting varying degrees of success.

No matter how brave you feel or how easy it might look, there’s a bit more to it then trying to cut a straight line.
And while it isn’t the first warning to avoid playing hairdresser, it probably won’t be the last.
