Man in hospital after shooting in Langley hotel parking lot

LANGLEY (NEWS 1130) — A man is in hospital with a gunshot wound after a daytime shooting in a Langley hotel parking lot Tuesday afternoon, according to RCMP.

In a release, Mounties say they responded to a report of gunshots at the Sandman Signature suites in North Langley around 2 p.m. When they arrived, police found the man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and he was taken to hospital.

A gold van said to have been fleeing the scene was found burning near 88 Avenue and 216 Street. Two men were seen running away from the van, police add.

One of them was taken into custody as a person of interest, but police are still trying to locate the other man.
