West Vancouver police incident clears, congestion remains

WEST VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A police incident snarled traffic through parts of the North Shore Tuesday.

Police had the right lane of Highway 1 blocked off just before the Capilano River Bridge. The road reopened around 8:30 a.m. However, congestion continues for eastbound traffic.

Meanwhile, police also had eastbound Marine Drive down to one lane, just east of Taylor Way. That closure has also been lifted, but traffic remains heavy through the area.

There is no alternate route available.
