Woman killed in Abbotsford homicide Thursday

A woman has been killed in an Abbotsford home.
Abbotsford Police responded to an assault in progress at a home near Eastview Street and Meadowlands Avenue in the Babich neighbourhood just before 5 p.m.
According to police, when officers arrived they found a 45-year-old woman suffering from life-threatening injuries. She later died at the scene.

AbbyPD says while the investigation is in its early stages, a 48-year-old man was arrested at the scene and remains in custody.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has now been called in and will take over the investigation.
