Coquitlam stabbing injures two, one person charged: RCMP

Coquitlam RCMP says one person has been charged after a stabbing on Saturday left two people seriously hurt.
Mounties say officers responded to a home near Johnson Street and Meadowvista Place just after 1:15 p.m.
When police arrived, they found a man and woman both suffering from multiple stab wounds. The two were taken to the hospital, where police say they are recovering from “serious non-life-threatening injuries.”

The RCMP says a suspect was arrested nearby. Police believe the suspect and victims knew each other and it was an isolated incident.
On Sunday, police announced Soleiman Adeli-Najafi was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and remains in custody.
