BC Ferries busy as people travel home from long weekend

The journey home to Metro Vancouver from Vancouver Island could be a long one for some people Monday.

BC Ferries sailings are filling up fast, especially between Duke Point and Tsawwassen, with some sailing reservations after 12 p.m. fully booked.

The 12:45 p.m., 3:15 p.m., and 5:45 p.m. are sold out, which means the earliest ferry available is the 8:15 p.m. if you’re sailing out of Nanaimo without a reservation.

Departure Bay to Horseshoe Bay looks to be a good alternate route, as space is slowly filling up, but no sailings sold out as of 7 a.m.

However, Metro Vancouver to Vancouver Island routes are still showing plenty of space Monday morning.
