Mounties say the driver stayed on-scene, and says investigators have ruled out impaired driving.

“If you witnessed the incident and have not spoken to police, our investigators would like to hear from you,” Corp. Mike Kalanj said. “If you have dash cam video in the area, we would also like to speak to you.”

The teen was taken to a hospital and is now in “serious condition,” according to police.

Mounties are asking anyone with information or dash cam footage in the area between 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday to call 604-646-9999 and quote file number 2023-15026.
