Kamloops lotto player wins $35M in Tuesday’s draw

A Lotto Max player who bought their ticket in Kamloops is waking up Wednesday $35 million richer.

The ticket, purchased at a Kamloops outlet, matched all seven winning numbers in Tuesday night’s draw. The ticket holder will now split the $70-million jackpot with another winner in Alberta.

According to the BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC), the odds of winning a Lotto Max jackpot are 1 in 33,294,800 per $5 play.

The winning numbers for July 25 were: 15, 16, 17, 18, 43, 44, and 48.

The BCLC says two other ticket holders in the Lower Mainland will receive quite a hefty return, as one ticket sold in Vancouver and one in Delta each won a Maxmillions prize of $1 million.

All lottery winners have 52 weeks from the draw date to come forward and claim their hauls.
