Surrey house fire sends plumes of smoke into the air

A house fire in Surrey’s Whalley neighbourhood sent massive plumes of smoke into the air Wednesday morning.
The fire, on Semiahmoo Road near Old Yale Road, was knocked down by the Surrey Fire Service (SFS).

A huge amount of thick smoke could be seen in the area.
Speaking to CityNews, Asst. Fire Chief Richard Bodnark says the fire was sparked in an unattached garage, and crews managed to isolate it to the one structure.
Bodnark confirms no injuries have been reported.
