Charges laid in Aldergrove Community Policing Centre car crash

Crown prosecutors have laid charges in connection with a disturbing incident in Langley over the weekend.

The Langley RCMP was called Sunday after a car crashed into the Aldergrove Community Policing Centre on Fraser Highway just before 8:30 p.m.

On Monday, Mounties said that a female passenger was taken to hospital while the driver tried to run away and was later arrested.

Video of the incident shared with CityNews shows the car, which already had front-end damage, swerving before crashing into the community police station.

The footage appears to show a woman being dragged outside the drivers’ door of the vehicle. Police have not commented on the video, which CityNews is not publishing due to the graphic nature of its contents.

The RCMP told CityNews earlier this week that the incident may have begun farther east on Fraser Highway, between 268th Street and 276th Street.

The BC Prosecution Service confirms that Kultar Gill has been charged with one count of dangerous driving causing bodily harm.

Gill is listed as the head instructor of a mixed martial arts academy in Abbotsford, according to the Mamba MMA Gym website.

Gill is due in court for a bail hearing Thursday.
