A section of Brunette Avenue near the Braid SkyTrain Station has reopened after being closed for several hours due to a police incident, DriveBC says.
The stretch, heading both north and south, had been closed since around 10 a.m. Friday. As of 3:30 p.m., the area was in the clearing stages.
The police incident also caused closures on the SkyTrain Expo Line in New Westminster for several hours. The closures were lifted just after 3:30pm, although TransLink cautioned riders to expect some delays as trains returned to regular service.
Canada and Millenium Lines were unaffected. Const. Amanda Steed told CityNews earlier in the day that commuters should expect road closures and transit delays.
