No injuries have been reported after a train hit a motorhome in Langley near the Golden Ears Bridge Tuesday.
The Langley RCMP confirms to CityNews the crash happened in the area of 201 Street north of 98 Avenue around 10:30 a.m.
“Investigation led us to the information that the motorhome had broken down on the tracks as the driver was attempting to restart it or repair it. They heard the train and, thankfully, no one was in the motorhome when the train collided with it,” Corp. Craig van Herk explained.
Video shared with CityNews of the collision shows a person stepping onto the tracks, seemingly waving their hands at the oncoming train before they move out of the way.

The person is then seen watching the moment the train collides with the RV, with debris being scattered across the tracks. The person continues to stand off to the side as the train passes, before it starts to slow down.
CityNews listeners recalled seeing a large vehicle on the tracks when they heard the train whistle. One person described a “massive impact.”
Van Herk says officers remain on scene, with the train crossing closed for cleanup.

The crash shut a section of 208th Street for several hours between 102B and 96 avenues.
