Vancouver police investigate homicide in Fraserview

A 49-year-old woman was found dead in south Vancouver on Wednesday, April 3. Police believe it was a targeted shooting. Monika Gul reports.

Police say they are investigating a homicide after the body of a 49-year-old woman was found in south Vancouver Wednesday morning.

In an update around 3 p.m., the VPD said it received reports of a deceased woman in the area of Rosemont Drive and East 57th Avenue, just north of the Fraserview Golf Course, around 6 a.m.

No arrests have been made but police say this appears to have been a “targeted incident.”

Callers to CityNews reported a large police presence through the morning and early afternoon in the area.

Multiple scenes appeared to be taped off, with an Acura sedan also seen behind police tape.

Few other details were provided.
