Drivers beware: downtown street closures in effect until 11 p.m. Saturday due to Whitecaps match

Street closures are in effect in Downtown Vancouver Saturday evening due to the Whitecaps match against Inter Miami, as well as a warmup street party.

Closures began in the early morning and will run until 11 p.m., the City of Vancouver says.

Robson Street’s closures run between Beatty and Hamilton, and Cambie Street’s closures are from Smithe to West Georgia.

The warmup street party started at 3 p.m. on Robson Street between Beatty and Hamilton. A “March to the Match” has also been scheduled starting at 6 p.m. at the pub Dublin Calling heading down Robson Street to BC Place.
