Mechanical problem with Alex Fraser bridge zipper truck temporarily closes lanes

The zipper truck that changes the counterflow lane on the Alex Fraser Bridge was having mechanical problems Friday morning.

The truck was temporarily stalled in the middle of the bridge, blocking both the north and southbound left lanes.

Crews were on scene working on the truck, however by the time it was back in service, around 6:40 a.m., it had already created big delays in the area.

You can take Highway 99 to the Massey Tunnel as an alternate route.
