5-car crash on HWY 1 in Coquitlam cleared, traffic still heavy

If you’re trying to head west across the Fraser River Friday morning, it might be best to rethink your route.

A five-car crash on Highway 1 westbound just before the Brunette Exit had previously closed multiple lanes.

While the crash was cleared just after 7 a.m., traffic is backing up into Surrey.

You can take the Pattullo Bridge as an alternate route.
