Delta Police releases photos of hit-and-run suspect’s car

After a pedestrian was critically injured in an alleged hit-and-run in Delta earlier this week, police are now releasing images of what they believe was the car involved in the incident.

The crash happened at around 7 a.m. on Sunday morning, the Delta Police Department says, when officers received reports of the collision along 66th Avenue and Scott Road.

The pedestrian remains in hospital in critical condition, police say. Officers add that despite extensive injuries, they are currently stable.

Police say the suspect’s car is believed to be a black 2011 or 2012 Honda Accord.

“Investigators are issuing a call for public assistance in identifying the suspect vehicle. … From the collision, the car received moderate damage to its front end,” police shared.

According to the police investigations, it’s believed that the suspect dropped off two passengers at the Strawberry Hills Mall just before the crash.

“We are looking to speak with these passengers, and we are appealing again, to the driver to contact the Delta Police,” the DPD said on Wednesday.

Police are now urging anyone with information about the crash, the alleged suspect, or the suspect’s vehicle, to come forward to police and call the DPD tip line at 604-940-7321.
