Alex Fraser Bridge clears after crash; delays continue

A crash on the Alex Fraser Bridge temporarily blocked southbound lanes between New Westminster and Delta Thursday afternoon.

Two southbound right lanes were blocked, and traffic was backed up beyond the S-curve that leads to the bridge in New Westminster.

In an update around 4:40 p.m., callers to 1130 NewsRadio said the lanes had cleared. Traffic remains heavily congested in the area.

Drivers are advised to take the George Massey Tunnel to avoid delays.
