BC SPCA: Some of 83 persian-mix cats up for adoption

The BC SPCA is caring for a massive intake of Persian-mix cats.

After their owner died and a family member reached out for help to rehome them, the BC SPCA took them into their care.

The SPCA says that at least half of the animals require spaying or neutering.

Many arrived with severely matted fur, necessitating urgent shaving. Some also presented with upper respiratory infections, broken teeth, or were underweight.

Several will remain in the care of the SPCA until their health improves.

While some cats will need further socialization before becoming available for adoption, others may be ready as early as tomorrow.
